SAFARI TO AMETHYST MINE
A story tells that if you find your lucky amethyst you have no more problems for the rest of your life! So this is worth trying! Snowmobile safari takes you to the Europe’s only operative Amethyst mine on the top of Lampivaara fell. First we will hear facts and stories about the amethyst and then it is time for mine working. We will each dig our own lucky stone. When everybody has found their own amethysts it is time to drive back to safari house.
SAFARI TO LUOSTO - PYHÄ
This snowmobile safari is suitable for those who want to drive a lot. We meet at safari club house. Guides will give the guests warm safari gear and before start the guides give driving and safety instructions. The track takes us to the winter wonderland. We will drive through Lappish nature and enjoy its unique beauty. We will have a delicious lunch at Pyhä in restaurant Huttu-Uula. After lunch return to Luosto after a memorable day. We drive approx. 75 - 100 km during the day.
SAFARI TO HUSKY FARM
This snowmobile safari takes you to the Husky Farm. At the Husky Farm there is a heard of dogs awaiting us with their wagging tails. The Husky Man tells us about the dogs and the life of a Husky Farm. Then it is time to drive with the dog team! Driving distance approx. 4 km. Duration 3 hours.
SAFARI TO REINDEER FARM
This snowmobile safari takes you to a Reindeer farm. During the safari we stop at Keski-Luosto fell to admire the beautiful wilderness scenery. At the reindeer farm we get to know about everyday life of a reindeer farm. We will have a short trip in a sledge pulled by a reindeer. We have some coffee and bun at the farm in a Kota before we return to safari house.
SAFARI TO SMOKE SAUNA
Welcome to enjoy a delicious Lappish dinner in a cottage in the middle of nowhere. First a traditional Finnish experience: smoke sauna! This snowmobile safari starts at dusk time from Luosto fell area to the wilderness. Hidden in the forest we find cottage Pessinpiilo. A heated smoke sauna waits. So let's enjoy hot "löylyt". An old Finnish wisdom says that the best medicine for all kind stress, extension and strain is hot löylyt, it melts your worries and troubles away and heals your soul. After this relaxing experience it is time to enjoy a delicious Lappish dinner. Later in the evening we drive back to Luosto. Driving distance approx. 40 km.
SAFARI TO ICE IGLOOS LUOSTO
We drive in the dark, quiet, snowy forest at the surrounding of Luosto admiring “nocturnal” winter nature, let's hope for a clear sky and Aurora Borealis… during the safari we find our way to ice igloos, that glows like diamonds in the dark night. It will be an experience to have some snack in the unique igloo and admire the ice building skills.
