PYHÄ - LUOSTO
Pyhä-Luosto is one whole area that is comprised of two ski resorts in the middle of Finnish Lapland (only 90 minutes from the Arctic Circle and Rovaniemi airport). The ski season in Pyhä-Luosto lasting from November to early May, is exceptionally.

WINTER

SAFARI INTO THE WILDS ROVANIEMI
Following your guide’s lead, you drive the snowmobiles through snowy forests to virgin snow. The magnificent silence and mysterious tranquillity of the forests of Lapland surround you while you enjoy the spirit of togetherness and wintry atmosphere. While the hearty packed lunch is being prepared over the open fire, get your appetites up by exploring the surrounding countryside on snowshoes.

ANIMAL LOVERS’ ACTIVITY DAY TO RANUA
Animal Lovers’ Activity Day to Ranua starts immediately after breakfast from the hotel lobby. We will head towards the Wildlife Park from Rovaniemi by car. In the park we will become acquainted with Arctic animals with the help of our guide and, at the end of the tour, we will have lunch at the restaurant Jussan Pirtti.
After the guided tour we will continue by car towards the Simojärvi Lake. There we will start snowmobile drive to Husky Camp, where we receive hot drinks in a kota (Lappish shelter), and introduction to the daily routines and dogs’ life from puppy to retirement. The visitors will be offer husky sled riding training outdoors and they will have a chance to enjoy the speedy ride of the arctic animals before visiting the camp and its inhabitants. Return to Simojärvi Lake by snowmobile and to Rovaniemi by car.
WILD NIGHT SAFARI RANUA
We will start off at the Safari House, dressed warmly, towards the dark park. In the light of headlamps, first we will try to establish contact with arctic animals and get a glimpse of their gleaming eyes, and after to follow their wild animal activities. Wintry night, glittering snow, the moon and northern lights, animal voices, and the magical circle of the light of the fire are all part of this unique experience. The safari includes guiding in the park and feeding the animals. Afterwards, it is nice to relax by a camp fire, where the guide prepares delicious sausages and makes coffee by a traditional method on a camp fire.
DAY OF ACTIVITY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY ROVANIEMI
The day-long trip can comprise guided or independent fitness activities. The day begins from the Activity World, followed by lunch and a run on the toboggan track or forest excursion (weather permitting). If the weather does not favor being outdoors, an alternative to the toboggan run and forest excursion is ten pin bowling. The day is perfect with a swim and sauna bathing at the spa.
LEARN TO SKI WITH ALPINE SKIS ROVANIEMI
Ounasvaara Ski School gives lessons in alpine skiing for beginners every morning starting at 10 am. The lessons are 90 minutes long and be held in Ounasvaara Ski Resort´s safe and easy slopes. During the lesson you get a good feeling what is alpine skiing and the excitement of speed.
SAFARI TO REINDEER FARM LUOSTO
Snowmobile safari to the local Reindeer Farm; during the trip we stop at Keski-Luosto fell to admire the beautiful wilderness scenery. At the reindeer farm we get to know about everyday life of a reindeer farm. We will have a short trip in a sledge pulled by a reindeer. We have some coffee and bun at the farm in a Kota before we return to safari house.

SAFARI WITH SNOWMOBILES AND HUSKIES LUOSTO
This snowmobile safari takes you along mountainside trails to the husky farm. The musher himself greets you and tells about his dogs and their care. Enjoy a 4-km ride drawn by a team of dogs driven by you. After the husky safari we will enjoy coffee around campfire and return to Luosto by snowmobile.
ICE & SNOW

KEMI SAMPO ICEBREAKER CRUISE
Departures from the harbour at noon. The icebreaker will sail out into the open sea, where the customers arriving by snowmobiles are waiting. The ship stops and the snowmobiles board the ship via the drawbridge. The journey continues through the frozen expanses of the Bothnian Bay in fast ice, giving everyone the chance to experience the thrill of the ice breaking up under the pressure of the ship.
The pleasant ship restaurant serves meals in two sittings. On the return journey the ship will stop for the chance for the adult visitors to take a dip into the frigid water, safely using a floating suit. After the swim, the snowmobiles continue their journey and the other passengers return to the harbour at 4 p.m.
KEMI SNOWCASTLE
The SnowCastle is constructing each year with a new theme and opens from end of January until first week of April. The SnowCastle consists of a hotel, a chapel, four restaurant rooms designed in different styles, an ice bar, play area for children and a stage where programs by different performers are arrange throughout the season. Showcase of Architecture – Built of Snow!
The SnowCastle of Kemi by the Gulf of Bothnia is the source of great pride as well as a true showcase of architectonic snow-work of the local constructors. Every winter the SnowCastle offers wonderful experiences for both children and adults alike. Great light-effects will add to the charm of the snow- and ice-sculpting as well as to the structures about the SnowCastle.
SNOWHOTEL KEMI
The SnowHotel can accommodate 48 persons in 18 double rooms, two group rooms with five beds each and one Honeymoon Suite. The whole SnowHotel and the rooms inside are made of snow. The fresh air, approx minus 5 degrees Centigrade, will guarantee sweet dreams inside a warm sleeping bag on a comfortable bed. One will have a memorable sleeping experience in the SnowHotel.
The overnight arrangement in the SnowHotel also includes breakfast served inside the warm CastleLounge and afterwards the possibility of taking a shower and a bath in the sauna.

RIVER RAFTING EXCPERIENCE ROVANIEMI
Experience the midnight sun in different way, and leave with us to river rafting. We go along River Raudanjoki and face several rapids. The trip is about 10 kilometres and during the trip we see the Lappish wilderness in the midnight sun. The nature is so silent and beautiful. We stop for having a pause, make some coffee and enjoy little snack around the campfire. This is an experience you’ll never forget.
MIDNIGHT SUN MTB RIDE ROVANIEMI
We collect you from your hotel in the early evening and take you to Ounasvaara Sports Park. At Ounasvaara we adjust our bikes and start riding along a reasonably easy, fast heath trail towards the lean-to shelter located on the eastern side of the park. At the shelter, we take a break and savour packed lunches. On the return journey, we ride via the panoramic viewing spot to admire the evening sunshine on the northern.
SAFARI OF THE MIDNIGHT SUN
At dusk, many animals become more active and start moving about. The Midnight Sun Safari takes us on a guided tour into a closed park, where we can observe a number of animals in the bright summer night of Lapland and enjoy this unique natural phenomenon. The safari includes feeding the animals. Afterwards, it is nice to relax by an open fire, where the guide prepares delicious sausages and makes coffee by a traditional method on an open fire.

SANTAPARK – SANTA’S HOME CAVERN ROVANIEMI
At Rovaniemi, near the Arctic Circle, Santa Claus has his own home cavern where the bustle of the elves continues all year round. From the entrance the visitors walk through a mysterious passage, which leads them into marvellous adventures inside the cosy cave.
Magic of Christmas All Year Round! Children as well as the adults are surely eager to meet Santa Claus himself at his office, where the beloved Old Man awaits with a big smile. The cavern hallways are also filling with cheery activities of the elves. In the Gingerbread Kitchen the visitors get to decorate the most delicious gingerbread cookies. The unique atmosphere of Santamus at the Arctic Circle offers its visitors an unforgettable experience, even for those who have already seen it all. The purl of a brook, the pond and its trout and the glow of burning firewood in the dark create such an ambient that the guests can hardly believe it true. The spirit of Santamus combines the peace of the wilderness, playfulness and the joy of giving.

ARKTIKUM ROVANIEMI
Arktikum in Rovaniemi is a museum, science centre, attraction, popular cultural spot, and a memorable meetings and congress building. The exhibitions of Arktikum take visitors from Rovaniemi to the North Pole and from Prehistoric Lapland to the Arctic regions of the present day. Kemi Gemstone Gallery’s collection is large and diverse even by European standards.
In addition to having the Finnish royal crown, the collection includes a copy of the Imperial State Crown of Britain that only experts can distinguish from the genuine crown a copy.
Marie Antoinette’s 647-diamond necklace can also found in the Gemstone Gallery, the dazzling sight which is well worth admire.
AURORA LUOSTO-SODANKYLÄ
The Aurora House, a seemingly traditionally shaped Lappish Teepee building, shows a surprisingly complementary and modern face inside. Walls are covered all over by fabrics and curtains, coloured deep dark blue and natural white, with simple wooden bench seating's around the circular floor, and in place of the open fireplace, you will meet the gentle face of a local human guide.
THE SKY IN FIRE
The Sky in Fire –presentation will be project on the ceiling of the Aurora House. The presentation does take 30 minutes and it does consist of photos and videos filmed by scientists. There is always a competent Northern Light guide telling about the most important scientific information and ancient stories involved in the Aurora Borealis. Visitors have a possibility to make questions. The presentation can be adapted to visitors, e.g. to children we can tell more stories and to science orientated visitors we can stress the scientific facts.

AMETHYST MINE LUOSTO
Amethyst mine at Pyhä-Luosto is among the most beautiful places in Lapland. The open scenery from the top of Lampivaara hill is breath-taking. The company values of the Mining Company Arctic Amethyst Ltd are exceptional. All work on the mine is doing respecting the nature and the environment. Amethyst is a purple variation of quartz and very hard mineral. Amethyst jewel will never be scored or tarnish. The luster of it will always remain. At the mine you hear stories, dig stones and sit around open fire and enjoy sausages. Around the midnight there is a guided walk back to Luosto.
SACRED WALK TO AMETHYST MOUNTAIN
Guided hike over the hills and through untouched forest to the Amethyst Mountain.
Along the way you get a drink of fresh water from a mountain creek, see extra-ordinary trees, huge anthills and perhaps some forest animals. The guide tells about the area, its nature and history. You'll learn how Forest Sami people made fire and what their sacred animals were. In the forest it is easy to locate places of peace and power. At Amethyst Mountain we visit amethyst cave and hear the stories of the purple amethyst. The peak of the Sacred Walk is to dig and find a personal lucky stone. That ancient piece of gemstone is 2 billion years old and will be yours for ever.
